East Asia has long been known of as the largest manufacturer of electronic goods but is now also fast becoming the world's largest consumer purchasing over half of the goods manufactured. This high production, consumption and imported E waste from developed countries is causing a huge electronic waste build up. In addition to this, many East Asian nations such as China, Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam also have very unsophisticated waste recycled methods.
