An inter-oceanic canal through Nicaragua - is it possible?

For the past 200 years, various tycoon's and governments have toyed with ideas and plans to link up the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans with a canal to further increase global sea trade.
Wang Jing, a Chinese telecoms billionaire is now ready to give it a real go.

THE PLAN: To build a canal three times longer than the Panama Canal running through Nicaragua linking up the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean. The project would also include an oil pipeline and a new deepwater port at each end.

PROJECTED COST: $50 billion

OPPOSITION AND SKEPTICS: Environmentalists, people of Nicaragua, many large banks and governments are unsure of the viability of the project and whether the funds will be enough.

So what does Wang Jing have to say. Watch the video at the link below to hear an exclusive interview with the man behind the scheme.
